If this verse doesn't sum up our class . . .

Here is a bible verse I stumbled across as I was preparing the message for Mother's Day. I think it is pretty cool and a great reminder of why I believe in this class so much. It is Matthew 5: 14 - 16.

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."

SHINE- Make em wonder you got! . . . (I stole that from a Newsboys song)

Salkehatchie Summer Service

Hello everyone! For the past 9 years I've participated in Salkehatchie and it has created a lasting impact on my life (those of you who've been before understand what I mean). I wanted to let you all know that it is now time to sign up for Salkehatchie this summer if you're interested! My dad and I are returning to the Lancaster camp, my brother wants to return to the Hugo camp for young adults, and I know others in our church like the Catrons, Mrs. Strange, and others are probably attending camps as well. Also, this year our church and Lee Road United Methodist in Taylors are sponsoring a camp named T and T and I know they could use a lot of help. If you're interested in finding out more about Salkehatchie please talk to someone who has been before or visit the website at http://www.salkehatchie.org/.

Take care,

Katie
